We continue to experience an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response by both exhibitors and attendees to our exciting 6th Annual Equine Extravaganza,  October 29 ̶ 31, 2010, at our new location, The Meadow Event Park, in Doswell, Virginia, birth place of the legendary Secretariat and new home of the State Fair of Virginia.

We are pleased to welcome back so many returning vendors and to extend a hearty welcome to the growing list of new vendors we have been able to accommodate, including many with canine related products and services, as we launch our first annual Canine Extravaganza! 

In addition to Canine Extravaganza we have many more exciting plans for this year's event that will spice up the fun including a Cowboy Cook-Off, the first All Women Trainer Challenge, cooking demos, our new Denim and Diamonds event, and live music!

We're thrilled to welcome Tommy Jennings, Waylon's brother, who, along with Bobby Plough, will entertain attendees throughout the weekend. 

But perhaps our biggest news of all is the addition of Terri L. Sharp to the Equine Extravaganza management team!  Terri's reputation for success is well known in the horse industry and she brings unparalleled experience and enthusiasm to our event. We look forward to continued excellence and growth as we work together to take Equine Extravaganza to the next level!

We are thrilled to announce our much anticipated move to the brand new Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia, birth place of the legendary Secretariat and new home of the State Fair of Virginia.  This  horse friendly facility offers a convenient and central location in the heart of Virginia horse country.  The Meadow Event Park is within an easy drive from Leesburg, Middleburg, Warrenton, Charlottesville, Culpepper, and Northern Virginia's two largest horse counties, Fauquier and Loudoun, where roughly 1/3 of Virginia's horses can be found.   Requests for exhibitor space has exceeded even our own expectations, necessitating the addition of the Farm Bureau Annex, a100x200 clear span tent which will accommodate one of our arenas (originally slated for the The Farm Bureau Center) and provide additional exhibit space.

We've all been effected by the economic downturn of the last few years; however, indicators of a change in the economic winds show positive trends.  Exhibitors are reporting an increase in attendee spending and rebounding attendee numbers at 2010 events they have attended.  If the exhibitor and attendee enthusiasm about our 2010 event is any indication, we have every reason to expect an exceptional turnout of horse enthusiasts who are eager to shop, learn and have fun! 

 Now, by popular demand from both attendees and exhibitors, we will include Canine Extravaganza.  Statistics show that over 80% of horse owners also own dogs. The Canine Extravaganza will include not only the addition of canine related products and services, but an assortment of canine demonstrations and seminars, as well.
