Our Equestrian College Fair, produced in partnership with Randi Heathman, Equestrian College Advisor, simplifies the college search for students interested in an equine program of study and/or collegiate competitive program.

SAVE THE DATE for this one of a kind equestrian college fair!

For college-bound students who want to continue competing in equestrian sports or pursue an equine focused degree, Equine Extravaganza is the event for you!

Our equestrian college fair is the only event of its kind in the nation, and includes not only representatives from colleges and universities who are available to answer questions about their programs, but also a full schedule of educational sessions and round table discussions that focus on:

  • The types of equine major programs available
  • Careers in the equine industry
  • Intercollegiate competition options (IHSA, NCAA, ANRC, etc.)
  • Resume-building programs available to middle and high school students now
  • Pre-vet and veterinary program insights
  • The college application process and financial aid
  • How to make a recruiting video
  • …and much more!

Daily seminars on the application process, financial aid, balancing studies with riding, equine careers, and more will be held each day.

A Chance to Win….

Dover Saddlery is proud to sponsor Equine Extravaganza’s Equestrian College Fair. Each college seminar will feature a Dover Saddlery and Smith Brothers Saddlery door prize drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Dover or Smith Brothers!!

Equine Extravaganza’s Equestrian College Fair is more than just a few tables set up with brochures and other traditional college information for you to pick up and take home with you. Our fair is designed to be interactive and an opportunity for you and your family to truly learn about the wide variety of educational options for equestrian students after (and even during!) high school.

To facilitate good conversations during the event, we’re also giving students the opportunity to preregister prior to the event. Preregistered information can be passed on to the colleges and universities attending the equestrian college fair so they can contact students before and after the event with additional information about their programs and special activities and events taking place on their campuses.

Keep checking this web site for more information about the schools who will attend this year’s Equine Extravaganza. We hope to see you and your friends in November!
