A new and very exciting component of
this year’s Extravaganza is the introduction of a College and Education Round Table,
bringing together equine colleges, high schools and specialty programs with potential students,
giving young persons the opportunity to explore the vast variety of
equine opportunities available to them. Hosted and moderated by Angelia
Almos, author of Horse Schools, the Round Table will be held on
Saturday and Sunday mornings in the seminar hall. Interested students
are encouraged to arrive at the Extravaganza early, as this will be
the first seminar of the day on both Saturday (9:30) and Sunday (10:00).
After the round table, participants are encouraged to visit each college
or specialty school's booth for more information. The perfect
equine event for the prospective student!

About
Angelia: Angelia Almos formed a lifelong passion for horses at the
age of five when she first convinced her parents to let her take riding
lessons. She has been riding and training horses in a variety of
disciplines ever since. Her book Horse Schools: The International
Guide to Universities, Colleges, Preparatory and Secondary Schools, and
Specialty Equine Programs Second Edition is the most complete guide
on equine education out there. Almos has authored numerous articles in
equine publications such as Horse Illustrated, Young Rider Magazine,
and Blaze Magazine, and she currently writes a monthly column
for EquinePost.com where she offers advice and discusses the often
daunting aspects of choosing the right horse school or equine-oriented
career. She travels nationwide providing her unique seminars to clubs
and associations and provides one-on-one counseling to prospective
students through her web site,
